Kika Alvarenga

Kika Alvarenga’s jewelry brings with it a piece of eternity. As a young visual artist, Kika turned the body into a site of immersion. Creating drawings, sculptures and photographs of wearable works, she made herself permeable to proportions, textures, joints. Light and shadows. Depths. From this inspiration, the Central Saint Martins University of Arts of London graduate turned her gaze to precious materials. The creative force of her work lies in the intensity with which she honors nature and accesses its diversity. Contrasts prolong the gaze. The rough contains the delicate. Gloss casts shimmers upon matte. Weight carries possibilities of lightness. This is the essence of her designs, making shine all that is precious.
