Lisa Ziff began her design career as an assistant to world-renowned architect Frank O. Gehry. She took that experience with her to Milan, where she worked for the design studio Alchimia, and then returned home to complete a Masters of Industrial Design at Rhode Island School of Design. Her design thesis was built around the use of glass, metals, furniture and architecture. After going back to Italy for two more years of experience, Lisa returned home again to open her own design studio. She created a line of cast aluminum and glass housewares that were sold to museum stores and high-end boutiques worldwide. After five successful years, Lisa took a sabbatical to raise her three children. She later resumed her studio work, this time focusing on 18 karat gold jewelry. Lisa approaches her jewelry from a sculptor’s point of view, resulting in natural and organic forms that integrate gold with precious stones. Each hand-made piece of her unique line reflects a feminine sensuality and refinement.
